KZUU Top 30: 2/11/11

This week’s #1 is last week’s Band of the Week: James Blake. Blake’s newest album has been getting rave reviews from various media outlets (including a 9.0 from p4k), and KZUU DJs responded by racking up the plays. Blake barely edged out Cut Copy for first place, sending those Aussies back down under (see what I did there?) Other notable charters: Coma Cinema (!) hits number 3 after hovering around the bottom of the charts for a few weeks. This guy doesn’t even show up on CMJ, so I’m proud of you guys for playing him enough to get some more exposure. The Babies debuted at #6, Akron/Family came in at #11 (this is important) and local act and former KZUU DJs Ironwood Run took out Iron & Wine, The Decemberists, and Belle & Sebastian to chart at a new high: #16. Congrats guys, and great job everyone!
